PREPARING YOUR QUILT TOP

Make sure your quilt looks its very best by following these guidelines...

• Press all seams open or to one side

• Trim loose threads on front and back- especially dark threads under white fabric

• Square and press backing fabric, ensuring it is 4-6" larger than quilt top on ALL sides

• Make certain borders are square and lay flat

• Stay stitch 1/8" around the outside of quilts with no borders

• If design is directional, mark the top edge of the quilt and/or backing with a pin, note, or piece of tape

• The three layers of your quilt will be loaded on to the quilting frame independently- please do not pin or baste them together
